In 2011 we unveiled the largest, most costly and time consuming project in Harvest Festival history. Our Pyramid is a one of a kind structure designed by John Rose to whom we owe a great deal of gratitude.
Throughout the winter of 2011 we gathered in the basement of a cold warehouse in the west end of Toronto to cut, press, drill and bend over 1.5km of steel pipe into the building links of a 2500 square foot, 55’ X 55’ foot pyramid and sew its massive 10,500 square foot cover.
As spring came a bulldozer and backhoe worked to level the building site for our great creation and a huge crane arrived on site to join us and build this thing of dreams.
The week of the build was a great one, mostly warm and sunny; things went up without a hitch.
Check out our time lapse video to gain a better understanding of what was created for all Harvest Festival members to share.
Thermodome Café is our most rapidly designed, fabricated, and assembled structure created in May 2012. Its purpose is to act as a warm, dry and calm area for all to gather, sit and have a bite to eat or enjoy a drink in a comfortable and spacious environment.
This project was scheduled to be built in 2013, but with the possibility of the planned 2012 Crash assembly project pad being unworkable due to rain it was brought to the top of the queue and realized in roughly 2 incredible weeks of creation. This area fulfills a need harvest has been long been missing: a calm, warm creative space to recharge your core away from the outside elements.

Truly a magnificent project that lives up to its name, this structure has pushed the limits.
From working in the spring's rain and mud, to the dust and extreme July heat we have been challenged beyond what we thought we would when we first began this gigantic structure. However, it’s with great pride and excitement that we unveil our ONE OF A KIND incredibly complex creation to you. Not only will you be impressed by the sheer size and playfulness you will no doubt be inspired and amused.
Built for YOU by dedicated organizers and volunteers, we can't wait for you to step inside and lose yourself in something we're sure you will love and appreciate.
