Before You Arrive
Harvest is more fun with preparation. Bring the basics: camping gear, lightweight boots, clothing layers, food, and water. Teaming up with friends makes cooking social. Download your ticket to your phone the week of. Let loved ones know that you will be offline. There is little mobile data during the event. Bring no glass or no entry to the weekend.

Camping Essentials
Bring: tent, ground tarp, sleeping pad, sleeping bag or warm blankets, pillow, flashlight or headlamp, day bag or fanny pack, wagon or trolley, and earplugs. Bring light boots for heavy dew and comfortable shoes for dancing and lounging. Need stuff? Check: Camprentique, The Gear Library, FB, Canadian Tire, and MEC.
Clothing & Personal Care
September nights can be cold, and the dew can be heavy. Check the Burk’s Falls forecast before you leave (average 20° / 11°). Pack a warm coat, rain jacket, sweater, long- and short-sleeved shirts, pants, shorts, socks and warm layers. Wool and synthetic fabrics are recommended over cotton. Add some creativity or sparkle. Stay fresh with a pond dip (spring-fed), wipes, and clean clothes, and try the Beaver Lodge sauna by the pond.
Personal care: toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, baby wipes, sunscreen, sunglasses, towel and personal essentials. Use biodegradable soap away from the pond. There are no showers or water taps.
Odds and Ends
Cash for food vendors, coffee, treats, and goods. Small garbage and recycling bags, a power pack, light towel, and containers or Ziplocs to organize items. A cigarette butt container if you smoke. You can skip the bug spray in September. This is a leave no trace festival. Make sure to take all your garbage and recycling and put it in the dumpsters provided. Note the dumpsters go to a sorting station where they are separated in to recycling and waste.
Food and Cooking
Plan easy main meals first, like warm one-pot dinners such as soup, curry or pasta, plus quick breakfasts such as wraps, eggs, fruit and cereal. Then add simple snacks like veggies, fruit, cheese, crackers, nuts and hummus. Bring a small cooler with ice, plate, bowl, cutlery and an optional small propane or charcoal camp stove. Use biodegradable soap for cleanup.
10 L Water: Bring at least 8-10 L of drinking water per person for the weekend. It will help keep your energy up. Even small dehydration can cause fatigue, brain fog, headaches and lower mood.
DO NOT BRING
No disrespectful vibes. How we treat one another is as important as why we gather. Follow the standards and health guidelines. Please try to repair conflict, be flexible, or ask for help from security or Harvest Haven.
No glass of any kind, fireworks, pets, speakers, Bluetooth wars, or paper lanterns. Bags may be inspected at the gate for glass.
Camping Map
Select the map to expand it. The numbered purple triangles are suggestions only and may help friends find each other.

On creator Hannah Moss’ printed map, Triangle 4 will appear within Triangle 3. Camp anywhere except in parking areas, gardens, or flagged-off areas. Camping is first come, first served. The CRASH field is a good spot for resting day and night. If quiet is a priority, avoid camping near the Pines, which has afternoon sets, and the Pyramid, unless you’re deep in the woods beyond. Some woods make great camping spots. Others are a dark, wet jungle of no return. Meet your neighbours, share space, and help make your tent town welcoming. Meeting and mixing with strangers is a key to daily happiness!
