The Home of Harvest is Midlothian Castle & The Screaming Heads, near Burk’s Falls, Ontario, Canada. It is about 240 km north of Toronto and 375 km west of Ottawa.

Midlothian Castle was built by Peter Camani, an artist and sculptor. He created a unique castle surrounded by sculpture gardens on 300 acres, known as the The Screaming Heads.

Peter Camani’s paintings hang in famous places like the Vatican and Buckingham Palace. For the last 25 years, he has focused on building this large, lasting work of art on the land.

Today, more than 100 “screaming head” sculptures, each about 20 feet tall and weighing up to 30 tons, stand around the property along with the castle. These heads and the castle have appeared on TV shows like CBC’s “On The Road Again,” “Arthur Black’s Weird Homes,” MTV’s “Cribs,” and others.

Peter Camani’s Midlothian Castle and the Screaming Heads gardens are truly magical and creative places that keep changing and growing over time.

It’s the perfect home for our Harvest festival, and everyone is welcome to visit and explore the lands throughout the year.

The Screaming Heads Merchandise Stand is located in the parking lot near the castle. Managed by Cameo Oakes, a neighbour and friend, it sells T-shirts and hats featuring Peter Camani’s iconic art. The only place to buy this merchandise is in person at this stand.

Next to the merchandise stand, the Midlothian Valley Farm market offers fresh organic fruits, vegetables, honey, and more. A nearby family cares for Peter’s vegetable gardens. Be sure to check out this hidden gem when you arrive or before you leave.
